the return

Tue May 26, 2009, 7:56 AM
This morning, my brand-new husband and I returned from honeymooning in Ireland. To paraphrase Dr. Pangloss, it was the best of all possible trips. :)

fifty days

Fri Mar 20, 2009, 12:14 PM
According to the Knot website (which can probably count better than I can; alas) I get married in fifty days.

*happy dance*

(and then, in about fifty-four days, we leave for Ireland! How cool is that?!)

In other news, I decided to just accept my weird love of and fascination with the super-deluxe first aid kits. (Not just bandaids and pain meds, but also light sticks, eye patches, air masks, and sometimes things like sand bags that make you wonder just how much emergency the first aid company expects you to be dealing with.)

news

As of noon today, I am unemployed.

Also, as of this coming Tuesday, the 9th, it will be five months until I am married.

Also also, as of yesterday, all the stuff that needs to be booked for the honeymoon is in fact booked.

And I met my birth father the weekend before Thanksgiving, and I have the same nose as him except that right now my own nose is weirdly crooked and red. (broken?) (and how long does insurance last post-employment?)

And that's all for now.

travel

Wed Aug 20, 2008, 3:04 PM
I'm going to Texas, about half an hour away from Austin. (I had the idea yesterday and booked the ticket this afternoon, and I leave Thursday afternoon for an extended Labor Day weekend.) It's freaking me out a little, and at the exact same time it's also completely awesome. If anyone familiar with that area would like to recommend any aspect of the greater Austin area, that would be peachy keen.
